Adriano Valentini is a writer, director, producer and editor. Adriano specializes in dramatic and comedic film, television and webseries as well as video journalism, creative marketing and educational video.
Adriano graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production, Honours in 2008. While at NYU, Adriano wrote, produced and directed his thesis film, “CLUBSCENE” – which was awarded the Craft Award in Screenwriting and Wasserman/King Finalist Award (making it one of the top seven films at NYU) and was invited to the prestigious Manoogian Screenings at the Director’s Guild of America Theatre, Los Angeles.
Following his studies at NYU, Adriano was awarded the Ted Rogers Entrance Scholarship at the MBA Program at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management. In 2010, Adriano graduated from Ryerson with an MBA specializing in Media Management.
Following multiple high profile internships, including positions at the Office of Jane Rosenthal, a Martin Scorcese Documentary on George Harrison, “Living in the Material World”, and at Rogers Digital Media, Adriano took a full time position as a Video Journalist at Canada’s National Newspaper, The Globe and Mail, where he produced, shot and edited original video content including high profile interviews, debates, web documentaries and web series’ in business, lifestyle, sports, drive politics and news. In May of 2012, Adriano was one of eight Canadian’s to be selected to take part in the Bell Media Diverse Screenwriter’s Program sponsored by the Writer’s Guild of Canada.
Adriano is the creator of the award winning web series “The Age of Insecurity”. Episodes have screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, NewFilmmakers LA and won Best Webisode at HollyShorts Film Festival. In 2014, Adriano was chosen as a Top 10 Finalist for HBO’s Project Greenlight, selected for his short film “Beanie Bros.” In August 2015, Adriano and his writing partner Aaron Colom were announced winners of the NBC Playground Competition for their comedy pilot “Sunset Ppl”.
In January 2016, Adriano directed his first network comedy pilot for NBC, “Sunset Ppl”, produced by Will Packer Productions.
Adriano is based in Los Angeles where he manages Adriano Valentini Productions.
